Import Prohibition of Chemical with the TBT Reason This measure (Notification No.3/2016) provides the import prohibition on the chemical which are banned and restricted by the section 5, sub-section (h) of Prevention of Hazard from Chemical and Related Substance Law. The listed chemical in the Notification No. 3/2016 are not allowed to import into the territory of Myanmar to anyone. The objective of this measure is to protect from being damaged the natural environment resources and being hazardous any beings by chemical and related substances.
Import Restriction of Chemical with the TBT Reason This measure (Notification No. 2/2016) provides the import by restriction on the chemical which were restricted by the section 5, sub-section (h) of Prevention of Hazard from Chemical and Related Substances Law. The listed chemical in the Notification No. 2/2016 are not allowed to import into the territory of Myanmar to anyone. The objective of this measure is to protect from being damaged the natural environment resources and being hazardous any beings by chemical and related substances.
Licensing Requirement to Import This measure (Notification No. 22/2019) provides for the requirement to apply for the import license. A person who wants to import this commodity needs to apply for the import license at the Ministry of Commerce. The objective of this measure is to regulate trade in line with the applicable international trade rules and standards.
Licensing Requirement to Export This measure (Notification No. 9/2018) provides for the requirement to apply the export license. A person who wants to export this commodity need to apply the export license at the Ministry of Commerce. The objective of this measure is to regulate trade in line with the applicable international trade rules and standards, to facilitate the domestic productivity and to protect the environmental conservation.
Full Prohibition on Import This measure (Notification No. 8/2013) provides for the prohibition of import on the certain product. Authorization Requirement for Exportation Certain Products This measure (Notification No. 60/2017) provides the requirement to get the authorization from the relevant agency. Anyone who wants to export this item, if necessary, needs to get recommendation letter or registration from the relevant ministries or departments according to their existing regulations even though this item does not require the export license. The objective of this measure is to regulate trade in line with the applicable international trade rules and standards.
Labelling Requirement for Wine Importation (SPS reason) This measure (Notification No. 18/2015) provides the labeling requirement of the wine product. TBT Regulations on Controlled Precursor Transport and Storage This measure (Chapter 5, para 24,25,26 and Chapter 7) provides the requirement to apply the transportation and storing permit at the relevant agency. The person who wants to transport and store the controlled precursor chemical have to apply for the corresponding permit at the Supervisory Committee for Controlled Precursor Chemicals or at the relevant state, divisional, district or town committee for drug abuse control. The objective of this measure is to control the drug abuse.
Authorization or Permit Requirement to Export the Controlled Precursor for Technical Reason This measure (Chapter 4, para 16, 17, 19 (a)) Provides the requirement to obtain the recommendation for the export of controlled precursor. A person who wants to export this commodity must apply the recommendation from the Supervisory Committee for Controlled Precursor. The objective of this measure is to control the drug abuse.
Testing Requirement for Controlled Precursor Chemical This measure (Chapter 4, para 21, a,3) provides a requirement for the chemical to be tested. A person importing controlled precursor chemical from abroad shall submit together with laboratory analysis of the relevant department and organization. The objective of this measure is to control the drug abuse.
Origin of Controlled Precursor Chemical This measure (Chapter 4, Para 21,a, 8) provides for the requirement on the disclosure of information on the origin of materials. A person importing controlled precursor chemical from abroad shall submit the Certificate of Country of Origin. The objective of this measure is to control the drug abuse.
Inspection Requirement on Controlled Precursor Chemical This measures (Chapter 4, Para 20, a,3 and Para 22,a,6) provides the requirement to conduct inspection of the products before exporting. A person who has obtained an export permit for controlled precursor chemical requires to assess the examination by the authorized inspection person or a responsible person within and outside of the country. The objective of this measure is to control the drug abuse.
