Notification is a transparency obligation requirement for the World Trade Organization’s member country to inform the relevant WTO body if the trade related measures are affecting other WTO member countries. The member country is required to notify the WTO as per the WTO’s agreements. There are Multilateral Agreements on Trade in Goods, General Agreement on Trade in Services, General Agreement on Trade-related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, and Plurilateral Trade Agreements.
