Procedure for Obtaining Quality Analysis Certificate for Seed

Step 1

After importation, when goods arrived at the port, importer shall inform to the Technical Seed Committee (TSC) the Department of Agriculture along with OGA test application (Other Government Agency test application) and Quality Analysis Certificate from the importing country to comply with the inspection guidelines. The importer must submit the original document of Quality Analysis Certificate (QAC) from the importing country.

Step 2

The authorized officer from the TSC-

1. will check the import certificate against with QAC from the importing country,
2. will conduct the sample products visual inspection,
3. if necessary, the products will be sent to the laboratory for further testing.

Step 3

If the products meet the specified standards, the authorized officer will send “Agree” message to the Customs Department via the Myanmar Automated Cargo Clearance System (MACCS). If imported seed doesn’t meet the specified standards, the TSC informs to the importer for rejection of carrying into the country with reason. And then, the authorized officer will send “Reject” message to the Customs Department via the Myanmar Automated Cargo Clearance System (MACCS).
