Authorization Requirement for Nuclear Material, Radioactive Material or Irradiation Apparatus Importer

Description This measure (Chapter 8, Para 17) provides the requirement to obtain the license for the import of certain product. A person who has received the registration certificate shall, if desirous selling nuclear material, radioactive material or irradiation apparatus, apply to the Department of Atomic Energy in order to obtain the license. The objectives of the measure are to develop atomic energy utilization in the State, to ensure safety in utilization of atomic energy in the State, to lay down and carry out measures for prevention of atomic radiation effects on man and environment.
Comments The Atomic Energy Law 1998 is enacted by the State Peace and Development Council. This measure is subject to change as the conditions in the country changed.
