The Department of Trade, Ministry of Commerce issued the Notification/ News Letter No. (6/2021), dated 12-4-2021, concerning the designation of specified ports of customs for the importation of food and beverages . The importation of following items are not allowed to import into Myanmar, temporarily, through land border.

(1) Fruit Juices,

(2) Coffee mix, tea mix,

(3) Instant Coffee and

(4) Milk and cream

However, those items are allowed to import into Myanmar through airport and/or seaport. The objective of this measure is to ensure public safety and to protect the consumer from the dangers of illegitimate products.
