Pursuant to Article XI, paragraph 2(a) of GATT 1994 and in accordance with Article 12, paragraph 1 (b) of the Agreement on Agriculture, an export prohibition is being introduced with aims
to prevent critical shortage in the domestic market resulting from the critical reduction of the live swine (HS 0103.10.00; 0103.91.00; 0103.92.00)  production in Thailand.
Thailand welcomes consultation, under Article 12, paragraph 1(b) of the Agreement on Agriculture, with any Member having a substantial interest as an importer.  The measure will be applied for three months, starting from the effective date 6 January 2022 to 5 April 2022.
