The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw enacts Myanmar Investment Law on 18th October, 2016. The objectives of this law are to develop responsible investment business which do not cause harm to the natural environment and the society for the benefit of the Union and its citizens, to protect the investors and their investments in accordance with the law, to create job opportunities for the people, to develop human resources, to develop high functioning production, service,  and trading sectors, to develop technology and the agriculture, livestock and industrial sectors, to develop various professional fields including infrastructure across the Union, to enable the citizens to be able to work alongside with the  international community, and to develop businesses and investments that meet international standards.
