Notification No. 59/2020 concerning the list of export-Prohibited items, entered into force on 17th August 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by the paragraph 13 (b) of Chapter (VI) of the Export and Import Law (2012) of Myanmar, the Ministry of Commerce issued the Notification No. 59/2020, dated 17th August 2020. According to the paragraph (3) of Notification No. 59/2020, the following items are prohibited to export from the territory of Myanmar-
- Diamond
- Crude Oil
- Ivory
- Elephant, Horses and rare animals
- Arms and ammunition
- Antiques
In addition to the above items, according to the paragraph (4) of the Notification No. 59/2020, other items that are prohibited according to the existing rules and regulations are not allowed to export from the territory of Myanmar via sea, air, land. This Notification shall prevail over the Notification No. 10/1999 issued by the Ministry of Commerce on 26th November 1999.
