Myanmar Food and Drug Board of Authority uses the power given under article 13(b) of National food law, announce this directive with the purpose of; to give information concerning quality, safety and health of prepackaged foods to consumer who can choose properly, to implement labeling of prepackaged food which is manufactured, processed, packaged, stored, distributed, sold, imported, exported, displayed, promoted in the market to comply with local and international standards and to support traceability mechanism.
