In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 49(b) of the Foreign Exchange Management Law, the Central Bank of the Union of Myanmar issued the Notification No. 27/2023 on 25 December 2023. This notification provides the amendment of the period to deposit of export earnings. For exportation to Asian countries, it need to deposit within 30 days from the date of export and for exports to the countries other than the Asian countries, the exporter need to deposit within 60 days from the date of exportation.
