The Fertilizer Committee under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation issued the Notification No. 5/2020 on 29^th April 2020 by exercising the power of authorization in accordance with Article 48 (b) of the Fertilizer Law and Article 58 of the Procedures Relating to the Fertilizer Law. According to the said Notification No. 5/2020, the following fertilizers are announced as the prohibited fertilizer-

(a) Ammonium Nitrate Fertilizer                                                                                                          

(b) Ammonium nitrate based compound fertilizer which contains Nitrogen 28% and above

The objective of this notification is to enable growers to use fertilizer of quality in conformity with the specifications.
