Procedure for exportation of Wildlife as Zoo Animals

Step (1)

A person exporting wildlife as zoo animal shall apply a recommendation certificate to the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department (LBVD) along with the following supporting documents.

  1. Export application form
  2. Application letter with Company letter and signed by company’s director
  3. Registration of Farm in Myanmar
  4. Proforma Invoice
  5. Sales Contract
  6. Recommendation from Myanmar Livestock Federation
  7. Copy of company registration issued by Directorate of Investment and Company Administration
  8. Requirement for lab testing
  9. Form VI
  10. Form XXVI

Step (2)

LBVD shall check and review on the completeness of the application and register the documents. For the incomplete and incorrect application, LBVD informs the exporter with reason. The exporter corrects, completes and resubmit the documents. If application is rejected, the process shall end here. For the correct and complete application, LBVD will continue for the lab testing and if needed, LBVD will conduct filed inspection to the farm.

Step (3)

The LBVD test the sample products for the assurance of standard quality and free from diseases. For the successful lab test and inspection result, the LBVD shall issue the export recommendation certificate and Veterinary Health Certificate to the exporter. After receiving the export recommendation certificate from the LBVD, the exporter shall continue to apply the export license at the Ministry of Commerce.

 

Note:

  • The overall process will take from 7 to 10 days.
  • The exporter is required to pay the lab testing and Health Certificate fees as determined by the LBVD.
