Procedure for Obtaining Transit Recommendation for Chemical and Related Substance

 

Step (1)

A person who wants to apply the transit recommendation for chemical and related substances shall obtain, complete, and submit the Form (13) to the Central Supervisory Board along with following supporting documents.

  1. Application letter signed by the Managing Director or Director with company letter head (Attach their ID copies)
  2. Copy of proforma invoice
  3. Copy of sale contract
  4. Hazard handling for import chemical and related substances
  5. Analysis report from the Department of Research and Innovation under the Ministry of Education
  6. Certificate of Analysis (COA)
  7. Material Safety Data Sheet-MSDS
  8. Form VI, Form XXVI and a copy of company registration

 

Step (2)

The Central Supervisory Board, according to the rule 22, checks the application form. For the incorrect and incomplete application, the CSB informs the applicant to correct and resubmit the document. The application which is not in conformity with the stipulations is rejected and if the facts are completed, the recommendation letter for the chemical and related substances shall be issued to the applicant.

Step (3)

The applicant can collect the recommendation letter at the DIC. When collecting the transit recommendation (TR) in person, the applicant shall bring the National Registration Card (NRC) original and one copy. For the representative who will collect the TR on behalf of the applicant is required to bring the authorization letter along with original NRC and one copy of NRC.

Note : There is no fees for applying the transit recommendation letter at the DIC. The duration of the recommendation letter is only valid for (6) months.
